Agfa opens wide-format showroom in Sydney

The wide-format combo printer has been set up as a full demonstration unit complete with Wasatch Rip, and will be used for technical and commercial training of staff, as well as customer demonstrations and education.

“Customers need to tick many boxes in their decision-making process whenever they invest in capital equipment,” said Agfa’s NSW regional manager Ron Stewart. “This [showroom] will enable them to tick the Agfa and the Anapurna box, as well as the technical support box.”

The facility has already been put to use, with technical manager Rashed Chughtai recently holding a 3-day training program for Agfa staff, distributors and customers, and plans are in place to provide wide-format print education to Sydney TAFE students.

The company has also reported several customers requesting private demonstrations “where they can test and pre-determine the results of their ideas”.
