Agfa will launch new Anapurna models at Fespa 2010

The Anapurna M 2050 has a printing width of 2.05m and combines the productivity of two of the existing machines in the family, the Anapurna Mw and the Anapurna M2.

Willy Van Dromme, business line manager for wide-format inkjet at Agfa Graphics, said it the printer is simple to control via an integrated touchscreen. It also has a built-in hard disk system for fast and secure data transfer.

Typical throughput speeds of the machine in four-pass bi-directional mode are around 24sqm per hour, optimised for poster and banner production.

The Anapurna 2500LED will also be launched at the show in Munich, Germany, at the end of the month and will introduce LED curing technology on a UV-curable 2.5m flatbed and roll-fed platform.

Van Dromme said it would be the start of a revolution in the wide-format printing sector, “as users look to reduce their running costs and maintain high-quality output on all types of media”.
