Print finishing specialists, Allkotes has developed a new Matte Gold LustreKote print finish in addition to its current offering of Matte Silver. Customer demand for spot metallics have been strong, the company also plans to coincide its launch of Matte Gold with the release of a range of metallic colours. LustreKote was developed a number of years ago as an alternative to foil stamping. Allkotes business development manager Darren Delaney says it can be used for a range of applications big or small, from business cards through to book or magazine covers and for various forms of packaging.

New: LustreKote in Matte Gold

He says, “For a busy or detailed piece of artwork where foil stamping may struggle to get intricate sections to pop off the paper, Matte Gold LustraKote could be the medium to give it that result.” Allkotes collaborated with its suppliers to develop a product compatible with its machinery and suitable for the print market, which it says it has now perfected with Matte Gold. Delaney believes products with the Matte Gold LustreKote finish can offer a comparable alternative to traditional foil stamping. He says, “Allkotes is strong in the foil stamping market, we believe this will only make us stronger and compliment this part of our business. “We understand that some of our packaging client’s desires in foil can push the boundaries of availability. So to provide another an option to our customers is what LustreKote and the metallics range is all about. We can offer something that stands out on the shelf.” The company says LustreKote is flexible enough for an A3 size sheet application, right up to an A1 sheet for the larger offset market. Matte Gold LustreKote is available now from Allkotes.
