AllKotes launches campaign to spur ideas for customers

Print finishing specialist, AllKotes, has launched a campaign to highlight its product range, including a new enhanced AntiKote Plus anti-bacterial film, to help printers educate their customers as the nation prepares to roll out of the coronavirus lockdown.

AllKotes provides a range of finishing options for printed products and will soon be releasing its new bacteria-busting anti-bacterial film AntiKote Plus which eliminates 99 per cent of bacteria and is effective for the intended lifetime of the printed item.

AllKotes general manager Darren Delaney said while AntiKote Plus can’t stop coronavirus in its tracks, it does inhibit the growth of bacteria and destroy harmful microorganisms which will help consumers feel more confident about picking up a menu, magazine or book.

“The idea behind the Many Faces campaign was to remind our friends that while we are all in this together it is also time to educate,” Delaney told Sprinter.

“As we roll out of the coronavirus lock down it’s important that we take the opportunity to offer solutions or new ways for our friends to engage with their customers. Offering our Allkotes products like AntiKote Plus, TouchKote, Holographic’s, Micromotion, PhotoKote, Scratch n Scent, Soft Metal & 3D Optix we need to use this time wisely.

“We have also been thrilled with the die cutting and gluing business we brought under the Allkotes umbrella. The ability to offer gloss or matte laminating, screen product options, die cutting, double sided tape application, fold, glue and pack under the one roof is huge bonus for our customers. “We are also very proud of our Allkotes app, the first of its kind in the world when launched in 2014. It is still a very powerful tool to have as a free addition to your smart phone or android device.”

AntiKote Plus comes with a gloss or a matte finish and is the enhanced version of the original AntiKote laminating film.

“AntiKote Plus will be available to Allkotes around mid-June so now is the time to plan,” he said.

“This film is designed to inhibit the growth, or destroy harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and mould.

“AntiKote Plus is perfect for hospital media, menus, book covers, magazine covers, POS, packaging the list goes on. No matter how many times the laminated surface is touched it will remain bacteria free. Even if the surface is wiped it will not lose its anti-bacterial qualities.”

Delaney said it was important to note though that based on the current climate with COVID-19 this AntiKote Plus film is not a deterrent against the coronavirus.

“The coronavirus is exactly that, it’s a virus so AntiKote Plus will not have any effect on this disease,” Delaney said.

Delaney said releasing AntiKote Plus and working with print partners to have it used as a tool to build consumer confidence around the handling of printed material like magazines, books or menus will greatly benefit the printing industry.

“What we are trying to co-promote with our print partners is that print is vital to all our future. It is our livelihood and if AntiKote Plus helps provide consumer confidence in picking up that favourite magazine, book or menu then it is well worth the effort,” Delaney said.

Delaney said AntiKote plus eliminates 99 per cent of bacteria and is effective for the intended lifetime of the printed item.

He said it has also proven effective to antibiotic resistant bacteria such as Staphylococcus (MRSA) and Vancomycin resistant Enterococcus(VRE).
