Cheque-Mates: new Memjet kit ‘says goodbye to waiting times on mailing jobs’

Chief executive Rodney Frost said the Neopost AS/HJ950C could print and personalise envelopes in a single pass at 1,600×800 dpi resolution.

"Say goodbye to the days of waiting for envelopes to be printed and then waiting again for the mailing house," he said.

"Unlike conventional printers that must traverse back and forth across the page, this system has a fixed head that prints as the media continuously moves along."

Frost told ProPrint that Cheque-Mates had invested $80,000 in the colour device, "including all of the workflow and time spent testing and additional software".

The Neopost, which was installed in February, uses Memjet heads. It can take envelope sizes as small as C6 up to C4 and can also print custom-size envelopes, he said.
