Cunneen Signs appoints general manager of operations

Nicholas March said technological breakthroughs had made the industry “very dynamic” and price-competitive – but also led to a declining role for print.

Cunneen Signs is a 38-person family-owned company that does about 95% of its own printing, he said.

Digital and screen printing is produced in-house with an Océ Arizona 350 GT, Roland XJ-740 and two Roland XC-540s, while large-format is outsourced, usually to Wizardry and Big Colour, he added.

March, who was promoted in January, has spent his entire career at Cunneen.

He started at the company nine years ago while at university, working part-time doing general factory work and installation, before moving to sales, estimating and project management.

Managing director David Cunneen said March’s “modern management experience” would be “critically important to maintaining and growing the business through these rapidly changing times of communication and marketing”.
