Epson rolls out enhanced S-Series signage printer range

Epson is launching its new range of SureColor S-Series 64 inch signage printers with three new models which Epson promises will be “simpler, faster and more efficient” than older models. Models SC-S40600, SC-S60600 and SC-S80600 all carry PrecisionCore print heads and use UltraChrome GS3 Eco-Solvent ink. Powered by Epson Precision Dot Technology which promises better imaging, the print heads support resolutions up to 1440x1440dpi. According to Epson the new features reduced ink use resulting in a faster drying time, power use is reduced, and production speed is higher resulting in faster job turnaround.

The new SureColor S-Series has also been specifically designed to reduce maintenance, all three models carry a new Printhead Guard which collect dust carried by media. The models are also fitted with new Air Circulation Systems which take care of any dust, static build-up and ink droplets. Epson Australia general manager Craig Heckenberg says the improvements to the new S-Series are based off customer surveys and functional testing results collected over three years. “Our engineers made significant technical improvements while the design team made extensive operational enhancements,” says Heckenberg. “So jobs are quicker to complete, machines are easier to operate and require less user maintenance.” The Epson SureColor SC-S40600 for $15,495 and SC-S60600 at $24,495 are available in Australia now with the SC-S80600 for $$23,495 available in the next few months.
