Ex-Ferag man to sell Dutch cloud services to local printers

Bounsall was Ferag Australia’s national pre-press sales manager until last September, before moving on to Sydney-based PreMedia in November.

Bounsall told ProPrint that PreMedia helped connect local end users with overseas service providers like Dutch company Ready4print.

Ready4print’s cloud computing services are used in the creation and production processes for print, web and tablet publications and will be demonstrated at Drupa, according to Bounsall.

PreMedia will then start pitching the pay-as-you-go services to Australian printers, publishers, graphic design studios, advertising agencies and pre-media providers, he added.

The Lane Cove company offers local analysis and product promotion to its foreign partners, most of which come from Western Europe, said Bounsall.

It also connects local companies with Comart, an Indian company he said provided cheap but high quality integrated pre-media and print services.

PreMedia has just two staff, but formed an alliance with G2 Solutions in mid-April that means it can now call on 10 staff and has extended its coverage to Brisbane and Melbourne.
