Flurry of new appointments marks Starleaton growth

“We’re on the growth trail again,” said managing director Peter Eaton, “last year it was warehouse space and offices, this year it’s people.”

Two women are among those who join the Starleaton side of the male-dominated industry:

Joanne Edwards – Queensland Branch Manager
Joanne Edwards comes from a materials handling, waste management and OH&S sales background. She is an avid walker and Yoga practitioner and enjoys a spot of Karaoke with a good glass of red and a few friends.

Amanda Brandon – Senior Sales Exec, Victoria
Also an April inductee, Amanda Brandon has more than 10 years’ experience in the printing industry, five of them in wide-format digital.

Bill Poole – Senior Sales Exec, Queensland
Wide experience in the photographic and digital imaging sphere is Poole’s hallmark, working with products such as Ilford and AVS.

Stephen Cordner – Victorian Branch Manager
Cordner joined SDS in April and spent many years in the picture framing business before that, both in manufacturing and wholesale.

Clayton Scheider – Sales Exec, NSW
Clayton Scheider hails from Brazil where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business at the University of Feevale. He spent a year in Quality Assurance with SDS’s paper and film converting operation and has just been promoted to a sales role.

Walter Palombini – Colour Management and Printer Technician, NSW
Walter Palombini is also from Brazil – what more colourful place for a colour specialist to come from? He lives next to the beach, enjoys the mountains and helping customers get the best possible colour results.

Mike Bottari – Senior Sales Exec, NSW
With very broad experience in both offset and large format digital printing – solvent and aqueous – Mike Bottari was until recently with Anitech and has previously worked with iconic printing names like Pot Still Press, John Sands and McPhersons.

Michael Goson – Senior Sales Exec, ACT
Another widely experienced wide-format man, Goson was until recently with Spandex. His brief is to take care of the growing Canberra/ACT market.

Denis Gilbert – Senior Sales Exec, WA
Joining SDS in June, Gilbert previously owned and operated a signage business so he knows the issues facing the industry.

More Starleaton appointments are expected in 2008.
