Geon and Offset Alpine get behind ‘excellence in print’

Geon has been named as a gold sponsor and Offset Alpine a silver sponsor. Hannanprint and Webstar have also taken silver sponsorships.

Geon has also agreed to serve as Publishers Australia’s (PA) print partner for this financial year.

Geon’s national general manager of sales and marketing, Glen Draper, said the company had had a strong association with PA for more than a decade.

“We are a proud member and supporter of the publishing industry and take great pride in our ongoing investment into the great works achieved by industry associations such as Publishers Australia,” he said.

Stephen Anstice, chief executive of Offset Alpine’s parent IPMG, said it was important to support “excellence in print”.

“We’ve been a long-time supporter of all these awards and Offset Alpine prints a lot of magazines so we felt it was a worthwhile thing to be supporting,” he told ProPrint.

Magazine Week will be held in Sydney from 12-16 November. A two-day conference will be held on 15-16 November, followed by the Excellence Awards dinner on 16 November.

Categories include cover of the year, designer of the year, integrated media brand of the year, website of the year and best app.

Publishers Australia said that if printers have produced any stellar publishing jobs this year, they should encourage their customers to enter the awards. Click here for more information.
