Global security printer to set up in Aus

Global security print and IT solutions provider Hague is going to establish a printing factory in Australia as part of its new plan to become a leading player here.

Hague operates in 50 countries with its headquarters in the UK.

Newly appointed Hague Australia managing director Mike Wheble confirmed that Hague has found a possible factory location, and says they are planning on signing for the facility on February 1.

“We really want to do everything locally, if we can find facilities in Australia we think that is a better way forward,” says Wheble.

“I look forward to being able to promote Hague’s products and services to the Australian market and further develop the customer base.”

Wheble says Hague have invested personnel in Australia and will be looking to grow staff to 15 people in the near future.

Wheble says, “Hague Australia will be specifically focusing on brand protection and security print solutions and will establish a technology solutions division, which will bring cutting-edge technologies to the education, retail, government and healthcare markets.”

Graham Wain, managing director at Hague says, “We are delighted to officially have a base in Australia and to welcome Mike on board. He brings a wealth of experience having worked with some of the world’s most innovative companies. He will be able to bring a wide range of solutions to our Australasian clients and prospects.”

Hague operates in 5o countries.

The last major security printer to set up in Australia was the ill-fated Focus Press venture in Wollongong, which just collapsed weeks after opening with the aid of a $6.1m government grant.
