Heavy metal rocks on

Heidleberg, Cyber (Ryobi) and manroland will present their latest drupa technologies at a special LIA post-drupa event later in the month.

With much of the focus at drupa and since the event on digital technology the LIA is keen to show its members that heavy metal still rocks – in fact the overwhelming majority of print is still produced on offset presses.

The manufacturers of the new generation of offset presses are working hard to meet the digital challenge, for instance at drupa Heidelberg was showing its B1 XL press producing three jobs in eight minutes.

The LIA event will see the press manufacturers presenting an overview of their respective technologies, highlighting the application advantages from prepress, press and postpress, including digital enhancements.

The aim of the evening is to bring those who were unable to attend the trade show up to speed on the latest technology and industry trends, with particular focus on offset printing solutions.

The PIAA is co-promoting this event in a bid to maximise the opportunity for the industry.

Slated for Tuesday Sept 27 begnning at 6pm at the North Ryde RSL the event includes dinner, and costs $65 LIA & PIAA Members and $75 Non Members
