Kevin Slaven, CEO of IPMG says: “With the continuing growth and evolution of our group, these appointments will provide the structure to further enhance our ability to empower brands to connect.” IPMG has appointed Kristie Atkins as chief commercial officer, Benoit Droulez has been promoted to chief strategy officer, the new IPMG chief operating officer (COO) will be James Hannan – fifth generation of the family that owns the business – while Ben Shipley has been appointed as the managing director of Spectrum Group, which is IPMG’s integrated communications agency. Kristie Atkins who is taking the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO) has vast sales, marketing, business development, communications, PR, event management and sponsorship skills. She is set to begin work at the end of September. “Kristie has a strong track record in managing the coordination of high profile brands through her most recent role as director of sales at Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL), which owns leading brands including Event Cinemas, Greater Union, BCC Cinemas, Moonlight Cinemas, Rydges Hotels and Resorts, QT Hotels & Resorts, Atura Hotels, Art Series Hotels, Thredbo, Sydney’s Majestic State Theatre and more,” IPMG says. Atkins will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing activity of the group, providing direction and support across all businesses. Her primary focus will be on driving new revenue and delivering the strength of the group’s combined brands in a coordinated and appropriate manner to its target customer base, IPMG says. Benoit Droulez has been promoted to chief strategy officer (CSO) for IPMG after an eight year career with the company. In this role, Droulez will oversee all aspects of the group’s strategy with a focus on sustained revenue growth in an evolving marketing landscape. Previously he held the position of CEO for Traction Digital and as such IPMG says was instrumental in driving significant transformation, merging two existing businesses and repositioning their combined product offering to realise profitable revenue growth.

IPMG chief operating officer (COO) will be James Hannan, fifth generation of the Hannan family – the sole owners of the 100 percent Australian-owned group – and he will oversee all operating aspects of the company. The company says in his role, Hannan will ensure that a strong sense of unity resonates within the businesses of the group, and to perpetuate the family values that the Hannans have held so dear since the inception of their business in the late 1800s. Finally, Ben Shipley has been appointed as the managing director of Spectrum Group, which is IPMG’s integrated communications agency, focused on public relations, social media, creative and content. IPMG says he is an award-winning creative and digital director with 15 years’ experience in communications and digital strategy. The company says Shipley is keen to demonstrate how Spectrum Group can build on existing strengths to deliver integrated communications that have a measurable impact on businesses and their brands. Shipley will focus on growing the business and building on Spectrum Group’s commitment to integrated communications. Slaven says IPMG continues to attract and retain talent of the highest calibre as people identify with the company’s recent rebranding as a group of marketing communications companies united by the shared vision to create meaningful connections between brands and their audiences.
