Keynote speaker to give packaging buyer’s view at Women in Print

Carman's Kitchen founder Carolyn Creswell told ProPrint she had "breathed this industry" since launching her business in 1992.

"I have a very close relationship with my printer [Litho Superpak], because they know about my attention to detail and the outcome I'm wanting. I've had plenty of press approvals in my time," she said.

"We change our plates all the time, because we like to refresh constantly and tweak messages and change things around. We're probably a printer's nightmare for the amount of plate changes we do. Our greatest asset is our packaging."

Creswell will speak at all five stops on the Women in Print roadshow, which will visit Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide from 10-19 April.

She said she regularly gets asked to speak at female-focused business events because her story "resonates with women".

"My focus on work-life balance and having an interesting career and being a good mother and showing how to do that is something I'm passionate about," she told ProPrint.

Creswell said it was important for women to focus on business while at work and family while at home. She added that women needed to be well organised to maximise their free time.
