Kodak’s Fleming joins IQ

Former Kodak Australia boss Adrian Fleming has joined MIS developer IQ to lead its sales efforts and develop overseas markets for expansion.

Fleming says IQ’s printIQ system is now one of the best on the market and is well positioned to become a major player in the global market.

“It is so much more than a traditional estimating or MIS software platform and I really like the opportunities that the product is opening up,” he says.

Since stepping down as managing director of Australia New Zealand in 2013, Fleming has been based overseas as inkjet systems Asia Pacific marketing director and will now return home to Melbourne.

“My most recent role at Kodak had me travelling more than 90 per cent of the time. I wanted to re-connect with the local market, and the idea of working with a local company like IQ was attractive,” he says.

“The opportunity to take a comparatively small but energetic software company to the world stage is a really exciting challenge.”

IQ chief executive Anthony Lew says Flemming’s hiring is a natural result of the business growing at a rapid rate and needing to expand.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience and relationships from his time working across the globe. The feedback from the market so far has been positive,” he says.

IQ director Mick Rowan says the role is tailor-made for Fleming.

“I have worked with many people over the years but there is only been a handful that I would like to go into business with,” he says.

“Adrian is one of those people and with the opportunities that lie ahead, I couldn’t think of anyone better suited to help us succeed.”

Fleming had worked at Kodak since 2001 where he held various positions in technical support, sales and management.
