Mailpack to reveal faster and cheaper Memjet technology for mailing and transpromo

The machinery distributor will use PrintEx11 to unveil the Astrojet M1 colour mail printer. The printer is powered by Memjet technology, which Mailpack said is capable of producing a high throughput speed while maintaining a good print quality.

“The Astrojet M1 colour mail printer separates itself from competitive solutions with an intriguing value proposition,” according to the reseller.

“[It offers] three times the speed and one-third the per-page print costs of alternative toner-based print systems with wider media flexibility.”

The Astrojet can produce 1,600dpi resolutions at up to 3,600 A4 sheets per hour. A key feature is its “page width printhead”, which allows “borderless” full-bleed printing on sheets up to 215mm wide.

Mailpack sales director Michael Seales said the machine will appeal to all mail houses looking to produce on-demand work in conjunction with larger jobs printed on high-volume presses.

He added that the Memjet technology could be a game-changer.

“We believe that the AstroJet M1, using Memjet technology, will dramatically impact how colour printing is used in the mailing and trans promotional market,” he added.

“The technology gives you the ability to print what you need when you need it at speed and in colour with variable date, a true on-demand process.”
