Mark Andy confirmed for Labelexpo

Mark Andy will be showcasing its portfolio of technology within the narrow-web label market at Labelexpo Europe 2017.

The company says an updated Performance Series P7 platform will be on stand in Brussels, with direct servo improvements, a fully automated job register, and a more ergonomic design to elevate operator experience.

The showfloor model will also feature the Digital Plus Screen retrofit, supporting screen-like digital white print, and solvent-free lamination technology.

Mark Andy will demonstrate its Digital Series daily on stand, with new applications that the company says highlights the award-winning solutions’ hybrid functionality.

There will also be live demonstrations of Digital One, an entry-level short run label press, throughout the duration of the event.

Mark Andy says the Digital One is designed for profitable short run prime labels, offering an optimal balance of digital and flexo.

Aldus Tronics is the Australian distributor of Mark Andy.

Frank Floriano, CEO, Aldus Tronics says, “Digital One is an interesting price point, we are excited about the product, and hoping to do great things with it.”

“It is an entry-level press, but does more than other digital printers, as it has some finishing stations with it. It has two coating stations, where your normal digital press does not have that flexibility.”

Ian Guanaria, general manager, Aldus-Tronics explains, “The print width is 330mm, and it runs 20 metres per minute, four colour CMYK, with in line print finishing. It has flexo for varnish or foiling, die cutting in line, slitting, and rewinding in line.

“Most printers these days are asking for inline finishing. If you have a pure digital press, you have to buy another machine, which means two operators, and additional overheads.

“Mark Andy has two digital in line finishing machines, the Digital One is a toner-based machine, while the Digital Series is the higher-investment inkjet machine, which we also offer. The digital series can be configured with any finishing options: screen printing, hot foil, cold foil, multiple flexo stations. The Digital Series runs at 70 m per minute.”
