Mark Andy launching P5E at Labelexpo

Mark Andy is launching a new press at Labelexpo Americas 2018, with Australian supplier Aldus Tronics set to attend the show.

The P5E will be part of its Performance Series platform, and targeted to the high quality flexible packaging and label market, including producers of shrink sleeves, film and foil lidding, pouches and high end labels. It will be available in widths up to 26” and will be offered with standard motorised impression adjustments, automation and speeds up to 304m/min.

Mark Andy has been quoting a 26 inch (66cm) wide machine for several months, and has now sold one to one of Taiwan’s largest print companies, CymMetrik, with delivery scheduled for later this year. The company says it will come standard with ergonomic tool loading including an anilox and chamber drawer and plate roll loading assist.

Chris Bodger, national sales manager, Graphics Division, Aldus Tronics, says, “At Label Expo this year, you will be able to see the new Digital Series HD press. This is the second generation of our highly successful Digital Series press.  The Digital Series HD is a true hybrid machine where the conventional and the digital are both manufactured in-house by MarkAndy which means the company is 100 per cent in control of all processes.”

“Lindsey Boyd, sales manager – Graphics Division and myself will both be in attendance at this years show in Chicago.”

The Digital Series HD will be demonstrated daily with new applications that highlight an expanded digital module, 1200 dpi resolution and production speeds of 73mpm.

Digital One, the company’s entry-level short run label press, will also host live demonstrations throughout the event.

An updated Performance Series platform will also be on stand in Chicago, with the showfloor model including the Digital Plus Screen retrofit, supporting screen-like opaque white print and a new UV LED dryer system.

Kevin Wilken, CEO, Mark Andy, says, “70 plus years in the industry has served us well. We are proud to be the largest provider of equipment, supplies and services in the print industry. Labelexpo is our opportunity to showcase that to our customers, and we look forward to connecting and growing their bottom line."
