McPherson’s wins building code tender

The contract covers the printing and production of the Building Code of Australia and associated publications, including the Building Code of Australia Appendices, the Housing Provisions, the Guide to the Building Code of Australia, the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA), and the Australian Building Regulation Bulletin (ABRB).

The contract runs for three years and is worth $779,235.

Most of the publications will be B5-sized, two-colour jobs on light-weight paper stocks, followed by section-sewing.

The department said: “Text pages range from 200pp to 800pp across the five volumes. Quantities for each of the five volumes range from 4,000 to 20,000 copies. These are annual productions.”

Meanwhile, the ABRB is an A3 saddle-stitched magazine produced in four-colours, with an average size of 48 pages and run length of 10,000. The publication is produced one or twice a year.

McPherson’s Printing Group chief executive Alan Fahy said: “MPG is pleased to have won the business and is looking forward to servicing ABCB’s future requirements.”
