Mohawk Show design competition a success

Over the last few years the Mohawk Show competition has gained considerable momentum, attracting record numbers of entries and visitors to the exhibition eager to view the exceptional calibre of creative work on display.

The judges commented on how the right paper choice adds soul, personality and dimension to a communication document, with the judging criteria for the 2008 show being based on the following; aesthetic value, content, paper usage, appropriateness, production quality and excellence of craft.

Designers compete with their peers from all over the world for cash prizes of $US5,000 for the winners and $500 for the finalists. This year the show had one winner and four finalists from Australia and has grown in stature as one of the most highly regarded international design competitions.

The Mohawk Show travelled all over Australia to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth attracted in its month of exhibition more than 3,000 visitors comprising design studios, advertising agencies, corporates, government departments and printers.
