Moore name to make wholesale return at Argus AGM

At tomorrow’s AGM, shareholders in Argus, which continues to trade as Moore Australasia, will be asked to vote on whether to officially change the company name back to Moore Australasia.

The company said in a preview notice for its AGM, which will take place tomorrow in Sydney, that the proposed name change is in light of the company selling its biometric security division earlier this year “to focus on the Moore business”.

“To better reflect the change in the group’s focus and acknowledge the group’s only business, the directors consider it appropriate that the name of the company be changed to Moore Australasia Limited,” said the notice.

The name change was first forecast in February, shortly after Moore Australasia was purchased by Argus as a way of floating the print management company on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Shareholders will also be asked to ratify the debt-for-equity swap that will see Print Media Group, the parent of Paragon Printing and Ducor Australia, take a 44% stake in Argus.
