Nipson Digital celebrates 30% rise in revenue

The manufacturer of the Varypress range had seen sales slump in 2007, resulting in a 13.6% drop in year-on-year revenues.

However, in the three months up to 31 March this year, due to new equipment sales and recurring revenue across all markets, revenue reached £7.6m – a 29.7% increase on the previous year.

Chairman Rimon Ben-Shaoul said: “There are positive signs of recovery and this despite the current economic climate, including the continued weakness of the US dollar.”

Equipment sales, at £2.4m for the three months, showed an increase of nearly 150% compared to the first quarter of 2007. The company also said the order book and pipeline for the second quarter of 2008 remained strong.

Nipson’s complete range of printers will be on show at Drupa.
