NZ printers called to attend Ipex Study Tour

The trade association is currently seeking expressions of interest in the tour, which will involve a small group of New Zealanders visiting leading UK print companies from 25-29 May to observe workplace productivity and other best-practice initiatives.

The tour is being organised with Print Yorkshire and subsidised by the UK’s Trade & Enterprise. Trade body Print Yorkshire is headed by Robert McClements, who spoke at the 2008 PrintNZ conference.

PrintNZ chief executive Joan Grace (pictured) said the event would provide an opportunity to view applications of new technology that may have been seen at Ipex, network with local and overseas printers and explore future business opportunities with UK printers.

“We have heard from a number of printers and expect to hear from more as they firm up their plans fro 2010,” said Grace.

“I encourage those travelling to Ipex to take this opportunity. Please get in touch with me,” she added.
