Océ sponsors Kelly Racing Team

Océ will supply a CS9160 wide-format printer and an SC Pro Cutter to produce signage for the team’s Holden V8 cars, support vehicles, and pit displays.

The team has also taken delivery of a CS193 colour printer, which will be used for internal documentation.

The move pits Océ against wide-format vendors Roland DG, which recently signed a similar deal to supply signage for Jim Beam Racing.

Dale Hawkins, Océ Australia’s business group manager for display graphics and imaging supplies, said the company wasn’t previously aware of Roland DG’s foray into the V8 Championship.

“I can say right now we expect the Kelly Racing Team to prove more than a match for them, and I’m happy to put a small wager on that result,” he said.

Kelly Racing commercial director Nick Ryan said the team is “looking forward to a long-term relationship with Océ”.

“Kelly Racing Team is approaching the V8 Supercar Championship as a totally professional exercise. As a result we were looking for speed and quality in our graphics and decal printing equipment, just as we do in our cars,” he said.
