PacPrint Q&A: Roland DG Australia

Conrad Birkett

Business development manager

Roland DG Australia

When was your company's first PacPrint?

We have been attending PacPrint since the 1990s.

Can you name any milestone launches at previous PacPrints?

The VersaUV LEC-300.

Can you name any milestone sales at previous PacPrints?

We developed our relationship with Whites Law Bindery at PacPrint 2005. Whites Law have since bought four Roland devices and have produced some amazing high-end jobs with Roland equipment.

PacPrint or PrintEx – what’s your favourite?

They both serve slightly different markets and being located in different cities makes it hard to judge favourites. We get great traction from both events from a customer service and sales standpoint.

How can customers get the most out of PacPrint?

Being a five-day show, it allows customers to take their time to check out all the technology available, to spend some time chatting to suppliers and even get along to a seminar. The more you know about the market and what’s available, the more educated people will be in making their purchase decisions and see how they can grow their businesses.

How will you entice customers to invest?

We are launching a brand new wide-format solution at PacPrint, so the chance of seeing the latest state-of-the-art technology on display will be a drawcard for many people. Additionally the show is one of the last chances for anyone who purchases a PRO4 XR-640 printer-cutter (left) to go into the draw to win a Ford XR6.

What will you be showing at PacPrint13?

We will be launching an exciting new wide-format device at PacPrint, as well as showing the recently released Soljet Pro4 XR-640 printer-cutter. In addition, we will be displaying a range of solutions including durable graphics and display, packaging and labelling and a big focus on new Roland solutions soft signage and textiles.

Can you give us any other hints about your stand or plans for the show?

Customers can drop by for a coffee to discuss their needs and explore the options available in wide-format. We will have our Roland Rental finance people in attendance as well as the ever popular Roland Clinic for people to get tips, tricks, advice or help for solving any issues
