PIAA sharpens its focus on the west

West Australian education and law expert Ben Reale-Cornel is the latest appointment at Printing Industries Association of Australia.

Reale-Cornel is based in Perth and will be responsible for driving the association’s policies on vocational education and training and skilled worker visas which are both heating up as big issues in the print and packaging sectors.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment in Perth of Ben Reale-Cornel” PIAA chief executive officer Andrew Macaulay says.

“Ben will be running PIAAs internationally recognized industry accreditation programme, ‘SGP’, as well as driving industry VET policy and the associated Skilled Worker Visa policy.”

PIAA director Anthony Pittaway says, “Ben joins us with a strong stakeholder management and advocacy background, having worked in both the public and private sectors.  He completed a double degree in Western Australia, majoring in Education, and is currently completing postgraduate studies in Migration Law, so is well qualified to deliver the services we have charged him with”.

Before joining the PIAA, Reale-Cornel worked for a number of years for various state and federal MPs and ministers.

Macaulay says Reale-Cornel will meet and communicate with members and key stakeholders about their needs and will ensure the SA and WA voice is heard and championed.
