POS firm hits 90% capacity, calls for Australia’s first Fujifilm Inca Onset S40i

Owner Mark Archibald said the Inca Onset S40i flatbed had made a welcome addition to the firm’s Inca Onset S20 as it was about 30% faster.

“We were running at about 90% capacity and needed something to ease the workflow,” he told ProPrint.

“It’s got everything we require for the market we’re in. It prints at a high quality. We use it for point-of-sale and in-store advertising. We print with corflute, paper, cardboard, plywood, acrylic, corrugated board and other substrates.”

Archibald said it was too early to tell if the S40i would attract new business to the 20-person point-of-sale specialist given it had only been installed it in late September.

“It’s not yet running at full capacity. We got it to ease the pain. We’re just supporting the customers we had,” he said.

The Melbourne-based business is unlikely to bring in any more equipment in the near future, said Archibald.

“It depends what happens. If the market needs something or the market is lacking something, we’ll buy it. But at this stage, we don’t have any investments planned.”
