Positive Camtec reveals Visual Impact exhibit

Positive Camtec will exhibit Kern Laser Systems machinery at Visual Impact after becoming the US manufacturer's exclusive Australian distributor.

The Sydney-based firm will display the Kern HSE100 large-format laser engraver and cutting machine at Visual Impact from 12-14 September and will also provide personalised demonstrations at its Silverwater facility after the show.

The HSE machine uses a 150-watt laser source and can cut and engrave plastics, metal, timber, fabric, paper, card and many other materials, according to Positive Camtec.

Sales & marketing manager Adriano Gut said: "It will be the first time a Kern Laser has been on show at a trade show in Australia, and we are expecting to generate a lot of interest in the entire Kern range."

Managing director Philip Trumble said: "Our team at Positive Camtec has years of experience with laser engraving and cutting systems, and we are honoured to have been selected by Kern to add their high-quality, feature-rich platform to our product range."

Kern's vice-president of sales & marketing, Derek Kern, said: "After much research into the Australian market, we chose Positive Camtec due to their knowledge and expertise, but importantly their proven track record of after sales technical service and support.

"Our products have achieved an excellent reputation for build and cut quality, reliability and ease of use, and it was critical to find a partner who could meet our high expectations."
