Print manager’s web skills “dramatically increases” client’s business

A regional print management firm has used its web expertise to deliver a client "the best month of bookings that they can remember".

Via Design overhauled Byron Bay Charters' website in September by putting it on a different platform, adding online booking and making it easier to navigate, said director Nick English.

Via also used search engine optimisation to push its client up the Google rankings, he told ProPrint.

Byron Bay Charters is the first company that appears when browsers search for "Byron Bay fishing" or "Byron Bay fishing charters".

English said the client had contacted him to say it had enjoyed a record month of bookings in October.

"A small investment by Byron Bay Charters has resulted in them dramatically increasing their business."

Via is a three-staff operation based in the New South Wales town of Coffs Harbour. It also offers printing, design and signage, and derives 60-70% of its turnover from non-print services, said English.

He said many clients appreciated the convenience of outsourcing their communications to a single supplier.

English also told ProPrint that Via had conducted another successful website overhaul in August for Coffs Harbour Removals & Storage website.

"In the first week, their website paid for itself," he said.
