Printers using $20k write-off to sell

The financial year has barely begun and printers are already using the new $20,000 instant tax write-off to sell print to their customers.

SK Displays general manager Steven Murray says the tax incentive in the Federal Budget is a great opportunity for small business to advertise themselves, and clients are boosting orders.

“Many small business owners don’t take up the opportunity to fully advertise their business in a variety of mediums because of the cost involved,” he says.

“Marketing to get the attention of prospects, leads, and customers should be at the forefront of every small business owner's mind, and now this tax incentive allows those businesses to stock up.”

Murry says custom marketing tools like media walls, flags, and logo-printed tablecloths allow a business to stand out among its competitors.

“Being able to write off unlimited items under $20,000 as a tax deduction is massive. We have already had quite a few businesses bulk up their marketing orders for logo-printed tablecloths and banners, and we are expecting a whole lot more,” he says.

“With the globalisation of business, more and more competitors are coming into every marketplace. It's vital that a business, no matter how small, does what is necessary to make their presence known, be it at a physical location or trade show.”
