What would be your dream job?

To be a personal shopper so I can spend their money with the same exhilaration as spending mine, but without the guilt

To be able to extend time as I need it. My suppliers would love me

My children, Kitty Flanagan and the movie Death at a Funeral

What was your childhood obsession?

Buying presents for myself… nothing has changed

What is your favourite TV show?

I don’t watch much TV but Grand Designs is pretty good

If you didn’t work in print, what would you be doing?

I would be an amazing mum with endless energy and the patience of a saint. Currently none of these apply

What really makes your blood boil?

Liars

How do you like to unwind?

Is that possible? But a good mojito and great friends certainly takes the edge off

What is your all-time favourite piece of kit?

When you have to ask the question of what a kit is, I’m not sure I have one

What is the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?

My mother always told me if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all… except in the car when your phone is off

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A bricklayer
