Salmat secures $7 million of personalised print for Tax Office

An ATO corporate procurement representative told ProPrint that the work would take place over 12 months over the coming 2010/11 financial year.

He said that Salmat was on the approved panel for personalised work. “They have to go through the intensive tender process to get onto the panel. Anyone who is not on the panel would have to go through another tender process.

He said Salmat clinched this “significant amount of printing” because it offered the best value for money.

Salmat general manager of marketing Pat O’Sullivan confirmed that his company was a long-time supplier of this kind of personalised work for the ATO.

The $7,016,418 worth of contracts awarded to Salmat Business Force spans an array of job types, including Business Activity Statements (BAS), Running Balance Account (RBA) correspondence, and a $5 million lot covering a host of other mail-outs.

The largest lot is $5,046,279 for outbound correspondence, automated document delivery, receivable management system, and TPALS self-managed super funds and company lodgments. The BAS work is worth $928,112, while the RBA print adds up to $407,446.
