Screen GP Australia reaches 30 year milestone

Screen GP (Screen) celebrates 30 years of selling direct in Australia, by offering PacPrint customers lower pricing on presses it will display with its partner, Jet Technologies, at stand D67.

Screen says it will also welcome three senior executives to PacPrint from the Kyoto, Japan headquarters, who will be on hand to authorise special deals for customers.

Peter Scott, managing director, Screen GP, says, “To say I am delighted is an understatement. It is great to have such HQ support and we look forward to welcoming Regional Sales Manager Mr Okitsu, Global Label & Packaging business director Mr Tanaka and Screen GP sales division VP Mr Hirose. As such, I will have direct head office people present to authorise any special deals during the show.”

Scott is optimistic heading into PacPrint, having already sold multiple presses, and CtP systems leading up to the four-yearly event.

“We experienced a spike in CtP sales through our dealers,” says Scott, “with an 8-up PlateRite PT-R8600NS going in at Warriewood, NSW printer Major Graphics and several others via our resellers Fujifilm and WRH. Our new mini label press, the L250AQ has attracted a lot of enquiries from AusPack and we are expecting to announce sales at PacPrint.”

To build on this second-quarter success, Screen says it will introduce special pricing on the L350UV and L250AQ label presses at PacPrint and also on the fast flatbed UV W3200. All three devices will be demonstrated working on the Screen/Jet Technologies stand D67.

Screen says it will have over $1.5m of equipment on the floor, plus a PlateRite CtP device on the Fujifilm stand E10. New Cloudflow and PakZ label and packaging PDF software from Hybrid Solutions will also be demonstrated.

“PackZ is so good, one of our L350UV customers ordered it straight away to drive the new label press,” says Scott, concluding: “I have never been so positive about going into a trade show – we have made great sales in the lead-up, we have plenty of interest in our products from people who say they will see us there; the budget was not too shabby for small business and printing in general and we have a great stand partner in Jet Technologies, who make the best coffee at any show! The planets have lined-up for us for sure.”
