The Digital Printing & Imaging Association (DPI) gave the award to the wide-format UV inkjet printer, which is manufactured by Screen (USA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Dainippon Screen Manufacturing.

“We are very proud that the Truepress Jet2500UV has been honored as one of the digital imaging products that is helping the printing industry and enabling printers to succeed in the marketplace,” said Mike Fox, president of Screen (USA).

DPI holds the Product of the Year contest each year in conjunction with SGIA. Entrants are required to print and submit test images created by DPI, which are then judged by a panel of printing experts, who review the color appeal, tonality and detail displayed on the submissions.
