He will be replaced by current chief operating officer Stephen Edwards on 1 November. The relocation will occur over the next six months.
The group said it made sense to bring its national head office to the east coast, where 85% of its franchises are situated.
Vernon (pictured) told ProPrint that he was looking forward to taking an extended holiday after ten years with the company.
“Snap has been a fantastic experience and the most important thing I have been a part of is the transition to becoming a marketing services provider,” he said.
“Stephen has a fantastic depth of experience in the printing industry, he has been with Snap for 10 years and he has a wonderful relationship with our franchise owners.”
Snap chairman Alan Good said Grant had been a major contributor to the company’s continued growth and success.
“The company is coming off a strong year and has an excellent underlying business, which is set to go onwards and upwards thanks to the position Grant leaves it in,” said Good.
Snap’s 2009/10 sales fell 18% to $13.7m, following the sale of seven larger franchises. The group has operations in Australia, New Zealand, China and Ireland.
