SprintaPrint achieves Sustainable Green Print accreditation

Printing Industries launched the SGP just over two weeks ago, with the program designed to help customers identify environmentally-friendly printing companies, based on water usage, energy usage, and waste management.

The program is based on the independently-assessed ISO14001 framework, which SprintaPrint achieved in 2007.

“Apart from the obvious environmental advantages of complying with Level Three certification, this achievement tells the industry and our clients that we have reached a higher benchmark of better managing our waste, recycling, energy and water use, and air emissions,” said SprintaPrint managing director David Peck (pictured, centre).

“From a business perspective, this program demonstrates our commitment to environmental sustainability. The SGP also provides a platform for SprintaPrint to meet or exceed the environmental expectations of our customers and gives us the means to communicate our achievements in environmental responsibility.

“The regulatory regime is only going to get tougher for all industry, so a certification process such as SGP can only help printers to meet their obligations before more draconian measures are forced on us.”
