Staff cuts at Fuji Xerox

Fuji Xerox Australia has responded to rumours of major staff redundancies across its operations, saying it has ‘realigned’ the business.

Reports of staff cuts cross the supplier’s local division have circled the print industry since former Australian managing director Neil Whittaker departed the business seven months ago.

However Fuji Xerox appears to be is now actively laying off significant numbers of staff as new managing director Sunil Gupta works to counter the reverberations following the departure of his predecessor Neil Whittacker.

Several senior sales employees have been allegedly been dismissed from Fuji Xerox in what appears to be a company-wide staff reshuffle, with well-known staffers Sue Trelfo and Jen Baile thought to be amongst those that have gone.

Responding to the rumours, Fuji Xerox has released a short statement which confirms, without saying so directly, that the alleged raft of redundancies are taking place.

“Fuji Xerox Australia continues to respond to the changing market conditions and serve our customers. We have realigned our operation to support our customers in the most diligent and efficient manner,” states Fuji Xerox.

More to come.
