Star businesswoman to headline Women in Print

The five-city roadshow will be held in April as a series of breakfast events, fronted by the 2012 Australian Telstra Business Women of the Year, Carolyn Creswell.

She was only 18 when she bought out her employer, food brand Carman's Kitchen, in 1992. It came after she heard she would lose her job because the owners were planning to sell the business.

Carman's Kitchen has since grown from a small business to a firm that exports to 32 countries and has a client list that includes Qantas, Coles, Woolworths and Lite n’ Easy.

Creswell will share her story with attendees and also explain how she's coped with working in a male-dominated industry.

The seventh edition of Women in Print will be held as a breakfast function. Organisers said they were keeping up with industry trends by changing the pace of the event.

The roadshow will start in Brisbane on 10 April and then go to Perth on 12 April, Sydney on 16 April, Melbourne on 18 April and Adelaide on 19 April.

Tickets are $55-60 per head. Bookings will open in February. Click here for more information or contact Heidelberg's Diandra Gavillucci at diandra.gavillucci@heidelberg.com
