The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World was initiated by Corporate Knights, an independent Canadian-based media company.

Stora Enso has been considered one of the best in the forest products industry in managing environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities. Chief executive Jouko Karvinen said: “I am very proud that the efforts of the Stora Enso team to keep sustainability right at the heart of our agenda, even in the very challenging operating environment our industry faces.”

The Global 100 is announced each year at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
