Swift departure following tax trouble

Bella Vista-based banner and poster printer Swift Display is allegedly insolvent and its financial position is pending a hearing with the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation on September 21, following the company’s inability to fulfil debt.

ProPrint contacted Swift Display, however we were informed by a non-related person answering the phone that the company has ‘packed up, done a runner and moved to South Africa’.

This has not been confirmed by lawyer Charles Bavin, who is listed as the contact on Swift Display’s insolvency notice.

Bavin told ProPrint Swift Display is insolvent with significant debt, and will likely collapse into liquidation if the debt is not settled.

Swift Display specialised in banner, poster and sign printing and was located in the heart of Bella Vista’s business park on Lexington Drive. The company’s website is no longer active and its number is redirecting to neighbouring businesses.

Bella Vista is one of the boom suburbs of Sydney, with large numbers of businesses establishing themselves there, with significant population growth, residential development and a mammoth new train line under construction.

More to come.
