The MIS developer ran software demos in Sydney and Melbourne earlier this week.

Managing director Tresta Keegan said Tharstern had received six requests for personalised demonstrations and seven requests for proposals from the 92 attendees.

She added that existing prospects had also been impressed by the potential of Tharstern’s MIS and web-to-print systems and the possibility of integrating them with Chili Publisher and Kodak Prinergy.

“The demonstrations have just progressed those conversations,” she told ProPrint.

“The presentation of Estimate Pro as the new means of estimating has been something we have waited for a while.

“Plus showing that lights-out automation is possible and not the dream of just big companies with deep pockets has already helped people to rethink what is possible.”

Tharstern’s MIS is a broad solution that allows printers to “do more with less”, said Keegan.

“Reinvestment into R&D is massive at Tharstern UK and this is reflected in every new version offered to users.”

Two demonstrations were held at the Waterview in Bicentennial Park in Sydney on 20 August and two at the Hotel Parkroyal at Melbourne Airport on 21 August.
