V8 Supercars to get the Roland DG touch

Roland DG signed a two-year sponsorship deal with V8 Supercars Championship team Erebus Motorsport.

The wide-format manufacturer provided the team with a Soljet Pro4 XR-640 printer-cutter and Camm-1 GX-640 vinyl cutter so it can manage its production needs throughout the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

The machines will be used to produce graphics for Erebus' three Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG supercars, race transporter and pit areas.

Erebus Motorsport V8 commercial manager Jeff Reibel said: "The visual appeal of the cars and team is so important these days. Partnering with Roland DG gives us access to the highest quality digital printing technology, ensuring all eyes will be on Erebus Motorsport V8 when we hit the track."

Roland DG managing director Marc Margetts said the sponsorship deal would help the firm position itself as an industry leader in vehicle and durable graphics.

The supercars were unveiled at a launch event on 14 February.
