Venues confirmed for Women in Print Breakfast series

Women in Print has announced dates and venues for its annual Breakfast Series, which will focus on mental health and wellbeing.

The series of breakfasts are taking place across Australia as follows:

  • 12th May: Brisbane, Ovolo The Valley
  • 13th May: Sydney, Waterview in Bicentennial Park
  • 20th May: Adelaide, Jarmer’s Kitchen
  • 21st May: Perth, Botanicals at Crown Perth
  • 25th May: Melbourne, Leonda by the Yarra

The sessions will feature keynote addresses from Man Anchor’s Steven Gamble and Ashleigh Wilson. These are designed to help women recognise mental health wellness both within their professional and personal lives.

“Enduring the difficulties of COVID we recognised women, and our industry more broadly, need support across more than economical and professional development to rebuild and recover for the future. Mental wellness, resilience for ourselves and how to identify others struggling is critical for our workplaces and home lives,” Women in Print chair Susan Heaney said previously.

The breakfast series will explore the following mental health issues in Australia, such as:
• What is mental health
• The flow of mental health
• Stress, distress and crisis
• Maladaptive and adaptive coping strategies
• Positive and negative thought process, and
• Self-care.

Man Anchor founder Steven Gamble previously said, “We are thrilled to be selected to work with Women in Print and the Breakfast Series, both myself and Ashleigh work within the industry and understand the value of Women in Print and the important role it plays. Having the opportunity to start the conversation about mental wellness for so many across the industry is a real privilege and honour. We are truly looking forward to these wonderful events.”
