A similar situation took place in 2011 when Ergo won the contract from Blue Star, which at the time was reported to account for half of the supermarket’s $50m print spend. The Coles deal comprises the supermarket marketing component of its print requirements, including point-of-sale material and warehousing. Production for both clients has already begun. Wellcom has about 100 Australian printers on its panel. Wellcom will also handle graphic design for Coles and photography and video for Target. The company increased its profits by 14 per cent for the 2015 financial year to $9.8m, with a 28 per cent net revenue jump to $115.4m, and statutory revenue increase of 37 per cent to $85.9m. When the FY 2015 results were released, Wellcom CEO, Wayne Sidwell, predicted a further 10 per cent growth in earning per share for this financial year from new contracts, organic growth, and new acquisitions. The Australasian operations of the pre-media and print management company grew by 12.1 per cent to $53m, due to new content creation business wins in Australia with major names including Stockland, Kmart, Super Cheap Auto as well as Coles and Target.
