‘World first’ digital finisher can perf and crease in one unit

The Foldmaster Touchline CP375 boasts a patent-pending design that allows the operator to quickly swap between a creasing or perforating bar.

The CP375 also has four rotary heads for lateral perforating or cutting, which means the machine can perforate in both directions in a single pass. It comes with three perforating heads and one cutting head as standard, though this assembly can be changed.

The device, which is aimed at applications such as vouchers and lottery tickets, takes sheets up to 375×1,050mm in size and can crease stocks up to 400gsm. The perforating bar is rated for stocks up to 300gsm, though the company’s goal is that the device will also be able to perforate 400gsm card.

At Drupa, the manufacturer demonstrated also the CP375 running inline with the Foldmaster Touchline CF375 folder-creaser, which was launched in September and had its first outing on the GBC Australia booth at PrintEx11.

The electronics in the CF375 have been upgraded to better communicate with the CP375, which is physically linked by a vacuum belt.

Multigraf managing director Robert Barrer said the CP375 built on technology first shown with the CF375, which has had a warm market reception in the past eight months.

“This machine has been very well received since September last year, when we officially launched. We have beaten our targets by more than we ever expected,” said Barrer.

Mutigraf was established in 1984 and is based in Grindelstrasse, Switzerland. It is distributed locally by GBC.
