Brisbane technology and consumables outfit Dynamic Supplies is picking up an Australian distributorship of Oki Data products to provide more choice for its resellers. Dynamic will now supply Oki’s range of printers and multifunction devices to resellers in the IT, consumables and office supplies sector from its Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland hubs – which have a combined warehouse and office space of more than 13,000sqm. Managing director Scott McLennan says the Oki products will fit right in with its office and business focused portfolio; Dynamic also distributes hardware from Lexmark, Samsung, Kyocera and Canon.

McLennan says, “We have reviewed the OKI solutions and believe they have products that are innovative, technically strong and will provide a good commercial return for our customers. “We will be looking to help their current channel expand their pipelines through proactive marketing activities, while also increasing the overall Oki partner base.” Oki Data has been active in the Australian market with a national subsidiary for five years, and recently has been ramping up its efforts to gain market share and expand its reseller network here. The company launched its flagship commercial digital print device, the C941, this year, with the ability to print CMYK as well as a fifth option of either a white or gloss. Oki Data Australia does not sell direct, but through resellers and channel partners. Its products are supported by local technicians and a three-year warranty. McLennan says the Oki products could help to satisfy a need in the market for high-end colour. He says, “Oki will add to our existing solutions portfolio by providing strong products for the graphics and visual imaging markets.” Dynamic will have one person dedicated to Oki who will be supported by a core sales team from its IT hardware division. The company will support its reseller network through the five warehouse distribution hubs across Australia.
