Mactac, a European supplier of delivering graphic and decorative products to the signage and architectural industry, has named Graphic Art Mart as its exclusive distributor for Australia.
The agreement enables Graphic Art Mart to be the only distributor for Mactac’s extensive range of core and specialty print, sign and wrapping solutions in the country, taking HVG Graphics Media out of the equation.
HVG Graphics Media was appointed distributor for Mactac’s solutions in Australia in February 2018 but both companies have yet to confirm details about why that partnership has ended.
Following the acquisition of Mactac by Avery Dennison in 2016 for €200 million ($295 million) and Avery Dennison relaunching the Mactac brand after listening to customers’ requirements for pressure sensitive graphic and decorative products, Graphic Art Mart became the local distributor for Mactac in October 2017.
According to Graphic Art Mart marketing and vendor relations manager Mark Canavan, the partnership allows both businesses to meet the high-quality demands and climatic conditions of the Australia and New Zealand region for sign and wrapping solutions.
“Mactac is a highly-respected brand globally, and we are excited to be the exclusive partner for Mactac in Australia. With a diverse and creative suite of products, we look forward to providing an even broader range of solutions to our customers,” Canavan said.
“Mactac products are designed for a wide array of applications such as architecture, interior design, advertising and promotion, signage and marking, vehicle and transport, and protection of printed graphics.”
Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions A/NZ senior business manager Jordan Leach said Mactac’s deal with its partner Graphic Art Mart is a momentous moment for the former.
“Today’s appointment marks an important milestone in Mactac’s history in Australia. Together with our long-term partner, Graphic Art Mart, Mactac will be able to meet the highest customer needs for quality, service and support throughout Australia,” Leach said.
