Gold Coast printer Heaney’s Performers in Print (HPIP) says it expects to increase revenue and add value to its existing customers after purchasing the Fuji Xerox Color 1000i at PrintEx on Friday. HPIP provides total print solutions with offset, digital printing, pre-press, design portfolio, delivery on demand as well as wide format print services.

Speaking with Australian Printer, NPA chair and managing director of HPIP Susan Heaney says the purchase of the Color 1000i is to add value to its services for the company’s existing customers. Heaney says, “We already have a large share of the market in the area and this press will ensure that we maintain our client base, offering customers more services, as well as attracting new clients. “With its gold and silver toners the new digital press will ensure we provide value to our high-end clients and keep more of our jobs in-house, which will hopefully result in growth of at least five per cent in sales. She says the company’s existing Color 800 will be traded in for the 1000i, which will be used to produce catalogues, direct mails, flyers, postcards and business cards. Simon Lane, Fuji Xerox Australia’s chief marketing officer, says Fuji Xerox confirmed a total of 20 signings across its range over the three days of PrintEx. “For us the location was a bit of a concern. We didn’t know how people would react to PrintEx being away from the exhibition centre. But it worked. There was a sense of optimism, which is indicative of the industry turning around and looking to a brighter future. We have far exceeded our leads targets as well as our sales target.”
