Inside HP’s Centre of Excellence in Singapore

HP Asia-Pacific and Japan market development manager Edcent Chan recently took Sprinter on a tour of its Centre of Excellence in Singapore, showcasing the many possibilities of using HP solutions.

The Singapore Centre of Excellence is one of only three in the world and houses all kinds of work done in the Asia-Pacific and Japan region using HP kit.

“Customers and potential customers get the chance to see everything that is possible with HP in this one place,” Chan said.

“We invite customers here to come look at our technologies, understand the opportunities, what they can do on the presses, and inspire them to do more.

“We also invite brands to come in here and talk to them about innovation, ways they can rebrand and tap into the needs of the market, for example, using personalisation.

“In addition, we use the service centre for education – to train designers, agencies and apprentices so that when they enter the workforce, they understand what digital printing is and how they can use them.”

Currie Group is HP’s channel partner in Australia.

Moving forward, Chan said that the industry can expect more innovation from the company, especially as drupa nears.

“The future is now. Our innovation for 2020 will start at drupa and in September we can expect a series of post-drupa events across the region,” he added.
