Printers picked for Commonwealth Games

Printing is underway for the biggest sporting event in Australia next year, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, with four local printers picking up $1.7m worth of work between them.

Gold coast operations Fast Proof Press and Heaney’s Performers in Print, together with Brisbane outfits IPG Connect and CPX Print & Logistics were chosen from the State’s Panel of Providers for the Provision of Printing Services to provide the print for the event, slated to take place next April.

Printing includes brochures, flyers, posters, rule books, and delegate hand books.

In addition signage business Dot Dash from Brisbane has won $215,000 worth of signage work for the games, which will be broadcast live across the country from April 4-15, and to 1.5 billion people around the world.

 

Known as the friendly games this is the 21st outing for the sporting extravaganza originally instigated as the British Empire Games, and which now has 6,600 athletes from 70 countries competing. It is the fifth time it has been held in Australia.
